n February 2009, 14 members of our teen community, along with Emanu-El staff, participated in a meaningful, social-action trip to New Orleans. There they became witnesses to the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina but also contributed to the rebuilding process by painting people’s homes and converting a one-time pharmacy into a community center for youth.Back to Teen Volunteer Weekend
