Open to all temple members
This event has passed
When Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl was brutally murdered in Pakistan in 2002, many Jews were touched by his last words affirming his Jewish identity. Many were moved to reflect on or analyze their feelings toward their lives as Jews. I Am Jewish: Personal Reflections Inspired by the Last Words of Daniel Pearl, edited by Judea and Ruth Pearl, features contributions — ranging from major essays to a paragraph or a sentence — from adults as well as young people in the form of personal feelings, statements of theology, life stories and historical reflections. Contributors include Debbie Friedman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Anne Roiphe, Shimon Peres, Vidal Sasson, Natan Sharansky, Elie Wiesel, Peter Yarrow and Eric H. Yoffie.
Cantor Mo Glazman will lead our discussion. Reservations are requested. All temple members are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
Please contact Temple Librarian Marjorie Shuster at email@example.com or (212) 507-9560 to obtain copies of the book.
