Families with elementary children and pre-teens are invited to celebrate the New Year at this joyous worship, followed by a reception for families in attendance hosted by the Religious School and Department of Lifelong Learning. The reception will be held in Blumenthal Hall (10 East 66th Street). Guests of families also may attend.

A ticket is required for admission. Only one ticket is needed per family. Seating is open.
Tickets are sent automatically to all member families with children under the age of 18. All other temple members with young children, including our Nursery School families, who wish to attend services with their children and extended families should request a ticket.

After the reception, families are invited to join us for tashlich, a medieval custom that means “casting away.” We metaphorically will throw our sins in the water, as we acknowledge the importance and complexity of repentance in a very real and tangible way. We will meet in the 66th Street lobby at 4:15 PM and walk to Central Park together for this brief but meaningful symbolic ritual.
