Tinseltown was invented by Sam Goldfish (born Shmuel Gelbfisz), who teamed up with his brother-in-law, Jesse L. Lasky, to make the first feature film.

Along with Jewish studio bosses,
actors, writers and directors,
Jewish composers created much of Hollywood’s magic.
Think “Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on my Head,” “The Way We Were,” “If I Didn’t Have You,” “The Look of Love,” “What’s New Pussycat.”

Now you won’t just think about these iconic tunes…you can enjoy the works of Alfred Newman, Randy Newman, Burt Bacharach, Hal David, Alan Menken, Marvin Hamlisch, Barbra Streisand, Stephen Sondheim…performed by Broadway and nightclub singers.
