SUMMARY:Women of Emanu-El Mah Jongg Class
DESCRIPTION:Mah Jongg is back for Fall 2026!\nExperienced Mah Jongg instructor Sharon Steinberg will be our teacher.\nSharon will teach an introduction to the game of Mah Jongg, a tile game like rummy, played by four people around a table. She will give a series of four lessons.\nPlayers will learn to identify tiles, how to set up the tiles they are dealt, and how to figure out what type of hand they are most likely to win.\nBy the end of the second session, players will be able to play the game with teacher supervision. Players will also learn beginning game strategies.\nBy the end of the four lessons, players will be able to play independently.\nClasses kick off on Tuesday, September 8th. The class time is from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.\nThe 4-week session dates are: September 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. \nCost: $300.00 for 4-week sessions, plus a one-time $15 fee for the\nNational Mah Jongg League card required for this style of play.\nSpace is limited to 8 per session.\nClass size: 8 players based on two tables of four.\nRegistration: Advance registration is required.\nOpen to all Temple Emanu-El members and their spouses, partners, or Mah-Jongg-playing friends. Non-temple members may attend if sponsored by a Temple Emanu-El member.\n
