Discover Judaism
An open and welcoming introduction to Jewish life, belief, and community.
The Discover Judaism Class: Judaism 101
Whether you’re considering conversion, part of a Jewish family, or simply curious about Jewish life and tradition, Discover Judaism offers an open door to explore the richness of Judaism in a supportive, welcoming environment.
This foundational course, which is administered through the Streicker Center and offered three times a year (Fall, Spring, and Summer), invites participants to deepen their understanding of Jewish beliefs, practices, and history.
Discover Judaism is designed for:
Individuals exploring conversion to Judaism (and is a prerequisite for those pursuing formal conversion with our clergy).
Non-Jewish spouses and partners who are building Jewish homes and/or raising Jewish children.
Anyone interested in gaining a deeper, more personal connection to Jewish life, regardless of background.
Through engaging lectures, discussions, and community connections, you’ll explore topics such as Jewish holidays, life cycle rituals, sacred texts, ethics, theology, and contemporary Jewish identity.
Whether you’re taking your first step toward joining the Jewish people or seeking to enrich your knowledge and connection, Discover Judaism offers a meaningful path forward.
