Friday Evening Worship Service with Special Guest Mohammad Darawshe

Welcome to Temple Emanu-El. Whether near or far, we would be honored if you would stand with our congregation and celebrate Shabbat with us. We are honored to be joined by special guest Mohammad Darawshe, an educator and civic leader who is a leading voice for Jewish-Arab partnership. Speaking from the bimah during Shabbat services on Friday, December 11, Darawshe will shed light on the realities and challenges facing Jewish and Arab communities in Israel, as well as emerging opportunities to build a shared future.

Darawshe is Director of Strategy at the Center for Shared Society at Givat Haviva and a faculty member at the Hartman Institute. A longtime leader in coexistence and civic engagement, he previously served as co-director of The Abraham Initiatives and has held numerous leadership roles advancing shared society and democratic participation. He has lectured at the European Parliament, NATO Defense College, World Economic Forum, and U.S. Congress, among other international forums, and has received recognition for his contributions to peacebuilding.

All Shabbat and Holiday services are livestreamed on our website, Facebook, and YouTube. Questions? Please contact us at 212-744-1400 or temple@emanuelnyc.org.
