Emanu-El Downtown Religious School Lab
Temple Emanu‑El Downtown’s Religious School Lab is an after-school Jewish learning program for children in grades K–7, held on Wednesdays from 3:30–5:00 pm at the Center for Jewish History in Chelsea.
Guiding students in Hebrew reading, prayer, Jewish values, holidays, and social‑emotional learning, the Lab combines hands-on, multisensory lessons with one-on-one virtual Hebrew tutoring beginning in 2nd grade. Weekly Havdalah ceremonies and tzedakah projects also strengthen students’ connection to Jewish tradition and community.
Built on a culture of ahavah (love) and hakarat hatov (gratitude), the Lab fosters diversity, inclusion, and joyful engagement. We offer support for learners of all needs through an Inclusion Coordinator and accommodate various family schedules.
