Weddings at Emanu-El
A wedding is only the beginning; sanctify your special moment with us.

A Jewish wedding is more than a joyful celebration; it is a sacred moment, rooted in tradition and community.
At Temple Emanu-El, we are honored to guide couples as they prepare for this milestone in their lives. Whether you are lifelong members of our congregation or beginning your journey with us, our clergy will work with you to create a wedding ceremony that is deeply personal, meaningful, and reflective of your values.
We embrace all couples—Jewish and interfaith, LGBTQ+ and heterosexual—with open hearts and open arms. Together, we will craft a ceremony that honors Jewish tradition while celebrating your unique story.
Our community looks forward to celebrating with you and supporting you in the years to come, as you build a Jewish home filled with love, learning, and connection.
If you are a temple member and would like to hold your wedding in one of Emanu-El’s sacred spaces, then contact our Events Manager John O’Hara at john.ohara@emanuelnyc.org. Once a date has been secured, you will be asked to arrange a preliminary meeting that will last a little more than an hour, at which we will begin addressing the many details required to plan your wedding. (A meeting with the couple and one of our rabbis to discuss the ceremony also must be set up well in advance of the wedding.)
