Magic, Music and More! Emanu-El Celebrates Purim

This year, Temple Emanu-El welcomed Purim in style with four enchanting events for all ages!

On Sunday, March 5, almost 500 members gathered together for a fantastical Encanto-themed Purim Shpiel and a spectacular Carnival in Wise Hall, which transformed into the Magical Kingdom of Shushan. In the afternoon, our Emanu-El Downtown community welcomed over 150 attendees to a high-flying Jazz for All Ages Purim Festival. Guests were treated to music from a live jazz band, and an interactive, multi-sensory circus with aerialists, comedy and the chance to be a part of the show.

Then, on March 6, we held our our annual Purim Party, featuring a live performance from The Maccabeats, music by DJ Ann Streichman, a hamantaschen bar with Shannon Sarna, an in-person and livestreamed Family Feud megillah reading, and the Guinness World Record holder for longest megillah.

Temple Emanu-El had an incredible Purim, and we’d like to thank our community for making it so memorable.
