On Friday, October 13, the Temple Emanu-El community came together for a special Shabbat service in solidarity with Israel. We were honored to be joined by Ambassador Dennis Ross, New York City Mayor Eric Adams and Lt Governor Antonio Delgado.

In addition to the hundreds in our sanctuary, we were more than 9,000 viewers from every corner of the globe worshipped with us on the livestream.

For those who couldn’t attend or wish to rewatch key moments, highlights of the service are available below.

Ambassador Dennis Ross shared insights into the 1973 Yom Kippur War and its lessons for the current conflict.

New York City Major Eric Adams shares words of comfort and support for the Jewish community.

Lt. Governor of New York Antonio Delgado offers  his support to the Jewish community.

The congregation sings Hatikvah (The Hope), the national anthem of Israel.
