A Season of Oil: Bearing Witness in the West Bank with Rabbi Reines

As we celebrate the miracle of oil, we widen our view to what is happening today where that ancient story unfolded. Join Rabbi Sarah H. Reines as she shares her experiences working alongside Palestinian farmers harvesting olives. We will learn about the cultural significance of olive trees, the economic importance of the harvest, the people whose lives are bound up with this land, and the violence they face daily. Together, we’ll shed light as we consider how to respond.
