Tuesday Night Hub: Religious School for Young Professionals

Imagine a Religious School that begins with a cocktail hour, where NJGs, NJBs and NJTheys aren’t expected to master the Alef Bet or memorize prayers, and where you’d never want to play hooky because the lessons are too interesting to miss. You don’t have to imagine. We did. Nine sessions delving into history and text that are less concerned with teaching you HOW to be Jewish than helping you explore WHY you should be, that prize dialogue over dogma while helping you find a place among a vibrant Jewish community.

Tuition: $180 (FREE for Temple Emanu-El members – (Learn about membership) includes all 8 sessions, pre-program receptions, end of school party and  school swag.

Open to ages 21-39 only

Your teacher, Rabbi David Wolpe, is a 21st-century sage and is widely considered among the very best Jewish teachers in America. He has taught Torah to Hollywood stars, scandalized his colleagues by opining that the Exodus didn’t happen the way we’ve been taught, caused a major stir when he quit Harvard’s Antisemitism Advisory Group and wrote a best-selling book optioned for a movie by Warner Bros.
