Ben Kirschenbaum

Hebrew Coordinator

A man in a suit and blue tie smiles warmly in front of a bookshelf, standing in a welcoming space at Temple Emanu-El.

I have had the distinct honor, privilege and pleasure of teaching at the Temple Emanu-El Religious School for the past 25 years. During that time, I have taught all age levels, class sizes, Judaic subjects and skill levels.

I am a Yeshiva graduate who has worked across all sectors of the Jewish world. I am deeply passionate about Jewish education and committed to ensuring that our students become familiar with, proficient in and even conversant in Lashon Kodesh (the Holy Language).

I strongly believe that, in addition to being the religious, cultural and historical language of our people, Hebrew is a rich, vibrant and resonant language that our students can enjoy, appreciate and use in a wide variety of ways.

Beyond teaching, I also work as a recovery specialist, counselor and in international finance. I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your Hebrew journey.
