Rabbi Emma G. Dubin received her ordination from the New York campus of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, where she was a JDC-Weitzman fellow and received awards in liturgy, Rabbinics, homiletics, Jewish history, and more. She served as Congregation Emanu-El’s rabbinical intern for her last three years of seminary before becoming Assistant Rabbi in 2025. While at HUC-JIR she also worked as a hospital chaplain intern at Mount Sinai West and prayer leader at the Rikers Island correctional facility complex.
Rabbi Dubin graduated summa cum laude from New York University with a concentration in Sociology of Religion. Between undergrad and rabbinical school, she worked in children’s book publishing and in development for the Central Conference of American Rabbis, the Reform rabbinic professional association.
In her free time, Rabbi Dubin loves gardening and watching HGTV home renovation shows with her husband Ian. Her favorite prophet is Jonah and her favorite book of Tanakh is Job.
