A Message from Tikkun Olam President Susan Kaufman to Thanksgiving Volunteers

Thank you to all of the amazing volunteers who gave their time on the Sunday before Thanksgiving for Tikkun Olam’s annual dinner. I would like to express my extreme gratitude to the Thanksgiving Committee: Debbie Halperin, Rebecca Weisberg, Lori Villi, Shelly Katz and Marlene Yokel, who worked tirelessly and committed countless hours to make this dinner a huge success. A huge shout out to our Temple Emanu-El staff, without whose continued support Tikkun Olam could not complete its mission to help others.

Our 220 guests were treated to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, from turkey and mashed potatoes to Thanksgiving-themed cupcakes and apple-spiced donuts. Everyone left with a Breakfast Bag filled with goodies and individual apple pies for the next day! It was wonderful to be able to welcome our guests. So many smiles, so much conversation and laughter during this amazing dinner.

Temple Emanu-El as a congregation and community volunteer side-by-side together to forge friendships that will last a lifetime.

Temple Emanu-El’s Annual Thanksgiving Dinner is made possible by a generous sponsorship from Dr. Barbara Ritchin.
