A Hero’s Journey: A Pre-Chanukah Family Celebration

Open to all Emanu-El families, this Pre-Chanukah celebration invites you to embark on an epic journey through the world of Jewish heroes — from Judah Maccabee to Ruth Bader Ginsburg and beyond — brought to life through hands-on fun for every age. Families can set off on their own hero’s quest: testing their strength and bravery on our Obstacle Course of Courage, leaping into action in the bounce house and ball pit, and traveling through a series of interactive stations such as dreidel decorating, logic puzzles, and games from bingo to basketball. Children will discover what courage and resilience look like, both in ancient times and today. And of course, every great adventure deserves delicious provisions! Enjoy fresh doughnuts, latkes, festive snacks, and plenty of holiday treats along the way.

The entire Emanu-El community is invited to gather in the Fifth Avenue Sanctuary for a spirited, all-ages Pre-Chanukah worship service led by our clergy and students as we celebrate together as a congregation.

Open to all Temple Emanu-El families.
