Friday Evening Worship Service: Volunteer Shabbat

We invite you to join as we honor the heart of our temple community: our dedicated volunteers. Volunteer Shabbat will recognize members who serve through Tikkun Olam, Women of Emanu-El, Men’s Club, the Sunday Lunch Program, and more. During worship, volunteers will be called to the bimah to receive a special blessing in recognition of their service to the Emanu-El community.

Volunteers and congregants planning to attend to be honored are warmly encouraged to notify the Membership Office by phone (212-507-9514) or email. Whether you are a longtime volunteer or considering getting involved for the first time, we hope you will join us for Shabbat.

Please stay after services for a festive oneg sponsored by the Reines family in honor of the many volunteers who help sustain our community, and celebrating longtime synagogue volunteer Miriam Reines on the occasion of her 90th birthday.
