For Good: A Wicked Family Shabbat
Join us for Family Shabbat, a jammin’ worship experience filled with gratitude, inspired by Broadway’s Wicked! We’ll explore the Jewish value of עין טובה (Ayin Tovah)—having a good eye and choosing to see the good in ourselves and others—while celebrating what it means to be kind, curious, and true to who you are.
This special evening will feature live performances by actors portraying Elphaba and Glinda, who will bring the world of Wicked to life through song, storytelling, and playful interaction with our families. Wear green, pink, sparkles, or anything that helps you feel your most “you” as we come together for a night of music, meaning, and magic. After services, gather for a casual Shabbat dinner filled with fun, friendship, and plenty of Shabbat ruach. We know busy parents want to create a Shabbat experience for their children but sometimes struggle to find the time. That’s why Family Shabbat is designed to be accessible: just register and show up. We’ll handle the rest.
Open to all Temple Emanu-El families.
