You are invited to this special opportunity to deepen your connection to the roots and rhythms of Jewish liturgy. Each Wednesday throughout this year-long program, Cantor Mo Glazman will lead participants on an enthralling journey. Together, they will explore the intricate tapestry of liturgical prayer and music—prayer and music that has bound the Jewish community together across generations.
Course Highlights
Historical Context: Gain an understanding of the history and mystery behind both ancient text and melodies of the Shabbat service.
Intellectual Exploration: Engage in spirited discussions, uncover scholarly perspectives and explore the multilayered meanings and origins of our prayers.
Spiritual Enrichment: Decode the poetic essence of our liturgy to cultivate a deeper understanding and richer worship experience.
Schedule and Program Focus
Fall/Winter Sessions: Weekly classes focusing on the study of sacred texts. Please note: class will not meet on November 26, December 24, December 31, January 7, January 28, and February 25.
Optional Spring Semester: Spring dates to be announced. Prepare for a community-wide adult b’nei mitzvah ceremony, culminating on June 20, 2026, at 10:30 AM.
