Tikkun Olam: Emergency Food Drive
Due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, many New Yorkers have lost access to essential benefits like SNAP and need our help more than ever.
Tikkun Olam at Temple Emanu-El is collecting nonperishable food items to support local pantries and feed our neighbors in need.
Please refer to the list below for requested items. For your convenience, you may order through our Amazon Wishlist—items will be delivered directly to the Temple—or drop off goods in either the 65th Street or 66th Street lobbies. You may also bring your donations to Mitzvah Day on November 9, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, where they will be sorted.
Please ensure that all food donations are non-perishable and not packaged in glass containers. Bulk donations are also appreciated. For questions, contact Tikkun Olam at tikkunolam@emanuelnyc.org or call the Membership Office at 212.507.9514.
