Tikkun Olam: Thanksgiving Dinner
As the season of gratitude approaches, an opportunity arises to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community. Join us as we come together to host a heartwarming Thanksgiving dinner, bringing joy and comfort to 225 seniors, women from local domestic violence shelters and families facing the challenges of housing insecurity. By lending a helping hand and sharing a meal, we have the power to create a sense of belonging and foster hope in the hearts of those who need it most. Let’s weave a tapestry of unity and warmth, where every smile and every conversation becomes a thread of love and support for our community members in their time of need.
The annual Thanksgiving Dinner will be held in Wise Hall. Volunteers can choose between setting up (1:00PM – 3:00 PM) and serving dinner (3:00PM – 6:00 PM). Guests will arrive at 4:00 PM. Volunteers aged 13 and older are welcome, but space is limited. Registration is mandatory. Please email tikkunolam@emanuelnyc.org with any questions.
