Sophie is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Lifelong Learning. Sophie grew up in Westchester, New York where she and her family were heavily involved in Reform Jewish life, leadership and culture at Woodlands Community Temple. No stranger to wearing many hats, Sophie’s professional experience stems from theater and event production.
After graduating from the Theatre & Performance Conservatory at SUNY Purchase, she pursued a career as a union stage manager and later as a producer, working on everything from Off-Broadway plays to presidential speeches to circus management at the Mall of Qatar! Sophie is a living encyclopedia of pop culture, a fashion enthusiast, and a connoisseur of all things sparkly. She’s looking forward to bringing her honed organizational skills, jack-of-all-trades know-how and sense of humor to the department!
