Tikkun Olam in Action: Serving with the Bowery Mission

The Bowery Mission. With warm smiles and open hearts, volunteers helped serve dinner, connected with guests, and supported an organization that provides care and dignity to some of New York City’s most vulnerable neighbors.

In addition to the hot meal, every person who attended received a care package filled with essentials: razors, shaving cream, deodorant, hand sanitizer, a toothbrush and toothpaste, socks, a fleece blanket, shampoo, body wash, and tissues. These thoughtful gifts offered not only comfort but also a reminder that each guest is seen and valued.

We are deeply grateful to the volunteers who made this evening possible: Geri Weiss, Nancy Stolman, Herbert Thomson, Barbara Sherr, David Hunenberg, Gilad Yehuda, Amy Gittleman, and Phyllis Itzkowitz. Your compassion and service are what make our community stronger and more connected. Thank you for embodying the spirit of generosity and care.

About the Bowery Mission
